1. Who we are

Glo Career Services is a trading name of Glo Outsourced LLC-FZ, a company registered in the Meydan Free Zone, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

We provide recruiter-led CV writing, LinkedIn optimisation, and career services to professionals in the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, and internationally.

For the purposes of this policy, references to "we", "us", or "our" mean Glo Outsourced LLC-FZ.

We are the data controller responsible for your personal data when you use our services or website at glocareerservices.com.

Although we are registered in the UAE, we offer services to residents of the United Kingdom and process their personal data accordingly under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We comply with both UK and UAE data protection laws.

3. What information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

Information you provide directly:

• Your name, email address, and phone number
• The contents of your CV (including employment history, education, qualifications, skills, addresses, and other information you choose to include)
• Information you provide via our contact forms, WhatsApp messages, or email correspondence
• Payment information when you purchase a service (processed by Stripe, see Section 6)
• Login credentials if you create a customer portal account

Information we collect automatically:

• IP address and approximate location
• Browser type, operating system, and device information
• Pages visited, time on site, referring URLs
• Cookie identifiers and tracking pixel data (see Section 8)

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data (such as health, religion, ethnicity, or biometric data). If your CV contains any such information, please consider whether you wish to include it before submission.

4. Why we collect your data and our legal basis

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

5. How long we keep your data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary:

• Free CV review submissions: 6 months from submission, then deleted unless you become a paying client
• Paid client data and CVs: 12 months after final service delivery, unless you request earlier deletion
• Account information (customer portal): for the duration of your account, plus 6 months after closure
• Email correspondence: 24 months
• Marketing consent records: until you withdraw consent, plus 12 months
• Payment and tax records: 6 years (required by UK tax law)
• Website analytics data: up to 26 months (Google Analytics standard)

You may request earlier deletion at any time, see Section 10.

6. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data to anyone, ever.

We share data only with the following categories of trusted third-party processors who help us deliver our services:

Infrastructure and hosting:

• Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). Content delivery network, security
• Supabase, Inc. (USA). Database and backend infrastructure

Email and communications:

• Brevo (Sendinblue SAS) (France). Transactional and marketing email
• Google Workspace (USA), business email

Payments:

• Stripe, Inc. (USA / Ireland). Payment processing. We do not store your full card details.

Analytics and advertising:

• Google Ireland Ltd. Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager
• Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. Facebook Pixel and Conversions API
• TikTok Information Technologies UK Ltd, TikTok Pixel
• LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, LinkedIn Insight Tag

All processors are bound by data processing agreements requiring them to handle your data securely and lawfully.

We may also disclose your data where legally required (court order, regulatory request, fraud prevention).

7. International data transfers

Because we are based in the UAE and use service providers in the USA, EU, and elsewhere, your personal data may be transferred outside the United Kingdom and European Economic Area.

When we transfer UK personal data outside the UK, we ensure it is protected by one of the following safeguards:

• The country has been formally recognised as providing adequate protection
• Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the UK Information Commissioner
• The recipient is certified under an approved framework (such as the UK-US Data Bridge / EU-US Data Privacy Framework)
• Your explicit consent for the transfer

8. Cookies and tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies for:

• Essential cookies. Required for the site to function
• Analytics cookies, to understand how visitors use our site (Google Analytics)
• Marketing cookies, to measure ad effectiveness (Meta Pixel, Google Ads, TikTok Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag)

You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings. A dedicated cookie preference centre will be available shortly. Disabling non-essential cookies will not affect your ability to use our services.

9. How we protect your data

We take data security seriously and apply appropriate technical and organisational measures including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS / TLS)
• Encrypted data storage via Supabase
• Restricted access to client data (only Scott Burns and Carly Burns access full CVs)
• Secure password storage using industry-standard hashing
• Cloudflare web application firewall and DDoS protection
• Regular security reviews of third-party processors

CV reviews are delivered to you via a unique secure link rather than email attachments, reducing the risk of interception.

No system is 100% secure. We will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority of any data breach affecting your rights within 72 hours, as required by law.

10. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights:

• Right of access. Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Right to rectification. Ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"). Ask us to delete your data
• Right to restrict processing. Ask us to pause processing in certain circumstances
• Right to data portability. Receive your data in a portable format
• Right to object. Object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing
• Right to withdraw consent, at any time, where processing is based on consent
• Right not to be subject to automated decision-making

11. Children

Our services are intended for adults (18 and over). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted data, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. If we make material changes, we will notify clients via email or a notice on our website. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

13. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, except where UK GDPR applies to UK residents, in which case UK law applies. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with applicable jurisdiction.
