CV writing for UK professionals moving to Ireland

Ireland is the simplest move on this list: UK citizens can live and work there without a permit. The CV format is close to the UK's, which is exactly why small mistakes stand out. We sharpen your CV for Irish employers, many of them the European headquarters of global firms.

4 rules for your Irish CV

  1. Say you do not need a permit. Some Irish recruiters still assume a UK applicant needs sponsorship. One line removes the doubt.
  2. Write for a European headquarters. Many Dublin roles are EMEA or global in scope. Show cross-border work, scale and stakeholder reach.
  3. Keep it to two pages. The standard is the same as the UK, so a three-page CV reads as unedited.
  4. Give your move date. If you are still in the UK, say when you can start in Ireland. It turns a maybe into a call.

Who rebuilds your CV

Your CV is rebuilt by UK recruiters with 25+ years of experience across the UK and the Middle East. We are not a recruitment agency in Ireland and we do not place candidates there. What we do is rebuild your British CV the way employers in Ireland expect to read it, and tell you plainly what has to change.
